TWO FACE OF A BIG City

Life in a big city has its advantages and disadvantages. A big city is the center of education and learning. Good educational institutions are spread all over in a big city. There are public libraries. Ready availability of medical aid is another advantage of living in a big city. Here are government hospitals, private hospitals and nursing homes. Also, there are numerous means of recreation in the city. People living in the city can enjoy all the amenities provided by science. Above all, one has better chances of earning money in the city. City life has its darker side also. There in an acute housing problem. Many people live in unhealthy surroundings. They lead artificial lives. The poor live in slums. They have to struggle hard to make both ends meet. Their troubles are endless. Their children are deprived of education. These children start working from their infancy. Many people in a big city are given to dishonesty, deceit and cunning. A big city dehumanizes most of its residents.
