BOOKS are man’s best friends. Books educate us, entertain us and they are the best means of spending our spare time. Human beings or even pets demand something but books do not make any demands. We can open and shut them according to our choice. There are various school and colleges textbooks which we are compelled to read to prepare for our examinations. Then there are books which entertain enthrall and thrill us according to our taste. As one grows old, one’s interest and taste also change. A child may be crazy about comics, picture story books or works of science fiction, while an adolescent may like romance or fiction. Some who make books their permanent friends, carry their love for books into adulthood and even old age .While identifying their area of interest some persons like romances and thrillers while other enjoy reading philosophy, literature, poetry, religion, politics, international affairs etc .Book help to widen our interest. They are our best friends, philosophers and guides.
