There are some
persons who take quick and impulsive decisions. Such persons may suffer in the
end because of these rash and impulsive decisions take by them. The proverb –
‘Look Before you Leap’ – cautions those people who undertake to do something
without weighing the pros and cons. It emphasizes the need for precaution and
thorough thinking before a person decides to do something. Some persons are
impulsive by nature. They act rashly and repent later. So one should venture
into something after a thorough survey and cool calculation have been made
Otherwise one’s adventure may become a misadventure. Suppose someone who has no
experience of business makes heavy investment in a business enterprise without
weighing the pros and cons, is likely to suffer a loss. Again, suppose someone
is to swim across a river he should first assess his expertise as a swimmer and
estimate the depth of the river. Only then he should jump into the water. A
person is often ruined if he takes action foolishly and rashly.
