The Important of Moral Education

The importance of moral education cannot be denied nor can it be overlooked. Unfortunately, moral education is hopelessly neglected in the existing system of education. The educationists have recognized the importance of physical education but they do not fully realize the importance of moral education. Only moral education can teach students what is good and what is bad. I can inculcate virtues which are needed to create peace and harmony in the society. Today, we talk of growing indiscipline among students .Its major cause in the lack of moral education in the school and colleges. Moral education can play an important role in the formation of character of students. It can make them virtuous and noble. It can help them make distinction between good and bad. It can uplift their minds and ennoble their soul. Above all, moral education can help them grow into ideal citizens. Hence moral education should be made compulsory in school and colleges.
